Dana Delany

Dana Welles Delany (born March 13, 1956) is an American actress. She is known for her roles in television and film.

• Early Life and Education: Delany was born in New York City and raised in Stamford, Connecticut. She attended Phillips Academy, Andover, and later graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in theater.

• Career:

  • She began her acting career with small roles on daytime soap operas and in off-Broadway productions.
  • Her breakthrough role came as Colleen McMurphy on the ABC television drama China Beach (1988–1991), for which she won two Primetime Emmy Awards.
  • Other notable television roles include Desperate Housewives as Katherine Mayfair, Body of Proof as Dr. Megan Hunt, and as Kristin Davis in the Paramount+ series Tulsa King.
  • Delany has also had a successful film career, with appearances in movies such as Tombstone and Fly Away Home.
  • She has also worked extensively in voice acting, most notably as Lois Lane in various animated DC Comics productions, including Superman: The Animated Series.

• Activism: Delany is involved in various philanthropic causes and is a board member of the Scleroderma Research Foundation.
